Description
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Sanguine, a dragons head erased Or, armed and garnished Gules grasping in its teeth a mace Argent.  Enclosing the device at the sides and below a semi-circular Maroon (Sanguine) scroll inscribed POWER IN THE DRAGONS TEETH in Gold letters.

Symbolism
Maroon and white are the colors traditionally associated with Medical units.  Gold conveys excellence, high ideals and achievement; red signifies vitality and courage; white represents purity and integrity.  The dragon grasping a mace in its teeth refers to the motto.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 19 January 1995.

That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve:  From a wreath Or and Sanguine, the Lexington Minute Man Proper.  The statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the Common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
